What it is

How it works
- Slower handlers take 2-3 seconds, allowing the defense to reset.
- This speed is developed through: (1) high-volume pick-and-roll reps, (2) film study identifying defensive patterns, (3) playing against live defenses, and (4) developing automatic reads (like "always attack the switch immediately").
Reads and counters
- Read the big: drop means take the open pull-up or floater; hedge or blitz means get off early to the short roll.
- Against a switch, attack immediately before help loads, or hit the slipping screener on the mismatch while the defense is still scrambling.
- Read the low man (tagger): if he stunts to the roller, spray to his man in the corner; if he stays home, finish the lob or pocket pass.
- Decide on the second dribble, not the fourth, so your choice lands while the coverage is rotating rather than recovered.
- If your defender goes under the screen, rise into the catch-and-shoot space immediately rather than re-dribbling into traffic.
